Tip Tuesday: PayPal Update

Heads up! PayPal is amending their User Agreement as of July 27, 2017.

Here are some highlights to be aware of:

  • If you transfer money out of your PayPal account to a debit card (which is often a faster withdrawal option), it will be subject to a $0.25 fee. Not a huge number but keep it in mind when reconciling your accounts. The fee will be deducted from the amount of the withdrawal.
  • PayPal will begin allowing Venmo users to pay you through PayPal (the two are actually owned by the same parent company). It’s important to note that these transactions will be subject to Venmo’s purchase protection program, not PayPal’s.
